Replacement Filter Inserts with Activated Carbon The SP-UV cartridge layer is made of strong polyfiber and collects organic debris for easy removal. Filled with AquaTop Activated Carbon, these replacement pads are extremely easy to use and install and help keep aquarium water crystal clear and odor free. NOTE: AquaTop recommends replacing the activated carbon filled filter element every 4 to 6 weeks. Aquariums with heavier stocking loads may require more frequent replacement.
